General Practitioner
We are looking for a qualified General Practitioner to join our team working between 3-8 sessions per week. You will be working with a highly respected group of GP colleagues, a skilled nursing team, nurse practitioners, clinical assistants, and an extended care paramedic supported by an experienced, efficient, and energetic administration team.

Practice Nurse
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our clinical team at Newtown Medical Centre. This role offers the opportunity to work within a busy and supportive general practice caring for a diverse community in the heart of Wellington. You will work closely alongside GPs, NPs, Nurses, and administrative staff to deliver high-quality patient-centred care across a broad range of clinical services.
Nurse Practitioner
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team at Newtown Medical Centre. This role offers the opportunity to work autonomously within a supportive primary care environment, providing advanced clinical care while contributing to the ongoing development of services across the practice. You will work alongside GPs, nurses, clinical assistants, a Health Improvement Practitioner (HIP), social workers, and an extended care paramedic, with opportunities to develop special interests in areas such as skin medicine, menopause care, diabetes management, travel medicine, and aged care.

Health care for our community
We are a Cornerstone accredited integrated family health centre caring for an enrolled population of 10,000 patients, providing a wide range of services, including acute services, minor operations and nurse-led clinics.
Newtown Medical Centre is part of the Health Care Home programme in association with Tu Ora Health Network. The Health Care Home is a model of healthcare that supports general practice to be the health care hub and care co-ordinator for its enrolled patients.
