Christmas Closure 2026/27

Kia ora all,

Newtown Medical Centre will be closed on the public holidays and for three additional days over the Christmas and New Year period.

Our closure dates are:

• 25 December 2026 Public holiday

• 28 December 2026 Public holiday

• 29–31 December 2026 Additional closure days

• 1 January 2027 Public holiday

• 4 January 2027 Public holiday

Repeat prescriptions will not be processed on public holidays. However, they will be processed on the 29th & 31st of December 2026, despite the practice being closed.

Please plan ahead and request your repeat prescriptions early to ensure you have enough medication over this period.

If you require urgent care during these closure dates please go to Newtown After Hours and if it is an emergency please go to Wellington Emergency room (or call 111).
